Mrs. Jacqueline Pernicone

I am a graduate of NYC public schools and CUNY: Brooklyn College. My degrees are in Accounting and Education. When I think of something surprising about myself it would be that I eat pizza about 8 times per week and I jumped out of a perfectly good plane in Las Vegas. My biggest and proudest accomplishment is my son. I have been fortunate to work with my twin sister for the past 19 years at The Bay Academy. I enjoy working with the 8th grade students and preparing them for high school. Aside from academic content, the most important lessons I can teach my students is that each of you has so much power at your fingertips, hard work will always pay off and always be kind to people. Attitude is everything.

Mr. Scotte Perry

The Bay Academy is an amazing school and I am fortunate and proud to be a part of this wonderful team! My name is Mr. Perry and I have been teaching at The Bay Academy for 8 years. I enjoy teaching and motivating children to learn. When I’m not teaching, I travel, scuba dive and eat a lot of gelato! I love this school because all of the teachers and administrators are kind and work hard to make each child successful!

Ms. Charlotte Savion

I have been an educator for over 20 years. I taught at a private academy for the first two years of my career. I have spent the last 18 years teaching in the New York City Public School System. I agree with Paulo Freire, “that dialogue involves respect between the Educator and the educatee. It should not involve one person acting on another, but rather people working with each other.” Thus, I have always set up my classroom with this major philosophy-a place where all children feel safe, respected and valued. I believe that students learn best when they are in an environment where these core values are an organic part of their daily school life.
